My Story

I first started converting vans in 1996, with a family of five, two adults and three children and a limited budget we needed cheap ways to have holidays.

My first van an old Talbot express minibus with a low roof.

I found an old Bedford campervan at a scrapyard in Northwich its pop up roof and even though a car had been sat on top of it looked intact.

There was a small amount of damage to the fibreglass shell of the pop-top which I repaired and then  fitted it to the1 van.

The pop top roof came with two roll out bunks perfect for two of my children to sleep.

The interior layout was very basic seating and a sleeping area with a camping stove for cooking.

After a couple of years and my children growing fast and we needed more space so I converted an old Renault master we had named Eagle 3 extending the roof to allow for  two bunks and storage.

With an interior height around 2.5m the bunks when open were just above my head, we had an L shaped sitting area that turned into a double bed, a cold water van with a two ring gas hob, a sink as well as an enclosed toilet area across the rear of the van.

I have been converting vans ever since.  I am now running this shop with the intention of supplying people who customise and build their own camper vans. With years of experience of converting and kitting out camper vans I can advise what the best options are depending on the chassis and the conversion.
